Reflexology

Why Reflexology?

Reflexology is a non-intrusive complementary health therapy, based on the theory that the body is reflected in the feet, hands, face and ears.  By applying pressure to these points it is possible to release tension and restore your natural balance.  I work holistically with my clients and aim to work alongside healthcare to promote wellbeing.

The history of reflexology goes back to ancient times and there is evidence of ‘foot healing’ having been used in Chinese, North American Natives and Ancient Eqyptian civilisations.  The exciting modern field of reflexology continues to develop and expand and in a world where automation, engineering and complicated politics are at the fore, we are looking to ourselves for healing.

“What an experience! On top of my lovely floaty, calming feelings I left with, which I must say lasted well into the afternoon, I had the best sleep I have had in a long time.” – Client Feedback

By stimulating the reflex points, the client may experience some of the following outcomes:-

  • a deep sense of relaxation
  • reduced tension
  • reduced stress
  • a more balanced emotional state
  • removal of excess waste and toxins due to stimulation of lymphatic drainage
  • a return to your natural equilibrium
  • feeling energised
  • better sleep

Reflexology is a holistic therapy whereby it considers the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of the person rather than a specific symptom or condition to be addressed.

“Deeply relaxing and my neck feels great!”
